This is a split album between Marcelo and I that we have had in the works for some year and a half now. It's not really in the format of a conventional split album, there's not a Woodwalker and Dreaming Moths side with a collab track in the middle. Instead the tracks are mixed up and arranged in an order we thought was appropriate. The making of this album was a very collaborative one, we worked very closely in writing and producing each song.
It was incredibly fun and interesting process, working with somebody who lives on literally the opposite side of the continent you live on. Marcelo and I have become very good friends as we've worked on this album together, and are really happy to be able to finally share it with you.
"Loosely derived from the Zen Buddhist word "mu", which translates as "nothing" or 'nothingness' and is used as a response to questions that are fundamentally flawed. Mu's Journey chronicles the experiences of the titular Mu, an amalgam of the personages of both Brown and Guaraglia, each song detailing Mu's journey through life: Their memories, hopes, and failures, all of which are pervaded by a comfortable sense of aimlessness and curiosity."
The album is comprised mostly of samples, each song sampling (generally) more than five or six songs, some more so than others (Track 3, "Plastic Clock" samples some twelve or thirteen songs).
Marcelo and I hope that you enjoy listening to this album as much as we enjoyed making it, and thank you dearly for taking the time to listen to our album.
